Tokyo, Japan, April 24, 2026 – In celebration of DNA DAY™ 2026, A.D.A.M. Innovations Co. (Japanese corporate name Genesis Healthcare Co.) and GeneLife today announced the launch of AGA Monitor Project, a new monitoring and study project designed to better understand androgenetic alopecia (AGA) and provide clearer insight into hair loss risk.

Understanding Hair Loss Through DNA and Real-World Data

AGA, commonly known as male pattern hair loss, affects a significant proportion of men globally, including in Japan, and is influenced by genetic and biological factors. The AGA Monitor Project leverages DNA-based analysis alongside real-world data, including questionnaire responses and hairline images, to explore how genetic predisposition and observable hair patterns interact.

Participation and Project Design

As part of this initiative, selected participants will receive a GeneLife AGA test kit, which analyzes genetic markers related to androgen sensitivity. Participants will also contribute to the project by completing questionnaires and sharing hairline photographs, enabling a deeper understanding of hair loss patterns.

Limited-Time Participation Opportunity

For a limited time, the project will offer 200 participants a complimentary GeneLife AGA test kit. Participation to this project will be open for three months from its launch.

All data collected through the project will be anonymized and used exclusively for the study. Findings may contribute to future scientific publications and help enhance the development of more personalized approaches to hair loss management.

The AGA Monitor Project reflects A.D.A.M. Innovations’ ongoing commitment to advancing genomics and building data-driven insights in preventive health and wellness.

Participation is voluntary and limited to eligible applicants, with enrollment open for three months from launch.
