ABOUT US

Our aim is to make a meaningful impact on people’s lives, health and wellness through genomic science and artificial intelligence.

CELEBRATION OF HUMANITY

Although we all look and think differently, lead different lifestyles and speak different languages, 99% of our genetic makeup is shared across all humans. The diversity among us comes from the remaining 1%. Our mission is to embrace this 1% and to use genetic analysis to help build a healthy society that celebrates diversity.

PHILOSOPHY

Our mission

Empowering individuals, researchers and corporations through genomic science, advancing personalized, preventive health and solving complex medical research challenges.

OUR VALUES

COMPASSION

In Japanese, compassion is "Jihi" (慈悲), a concept rooted in Buddhist teachings on enlightenment. The first syllable, "ji," signifies love that grants blessings, respect and freedom through caring for others. The second syllable, "hi," is the benevolence that seeks to rescue people from suffering. In Buddhist teaching, compassion therefore means helping people free themselves from suffering and giving them peace. At A.D.A.M. Innovations, compassion is the most important philosophy we hold to and express every day. Every decision we make is grounded in compassion, for others and for society.

CORPORATE
GOVERNANCE

Corporate governance is about integrity and responsibility to society. As a leader and pioneer in genetics in Japan, we constantly examine the integrity of our actions at every level, from the types of genetic tests we offer to our proactive dialogue with regulators in shaping guidelines that benefit society, customers and patients. In our view, ethics is just a word on paper unless it is practiced and put into action.

COOPERATION

This leads to our second corporate philosophy, "Cooperation." Throughout history, humans have sought comfort in groups of people who share a similar culture, history or ethnic background. It is human nature to feel uneasy when someone different joins a small group. In our global society, however, we must cooperate and learn to understand and respect our neighbors. At A.D.A.M. Innovations, our employees come from many countries and form a richly diverse mix of backgrounds from around the world, with a level of communication and cooperation unlike any seen in a typical Japanese company. We are able to cooperate because we treat one another with compassion.

CHANGE

Finally, A.D.A.M. Innovations embraces "Change." While modern medicine has proven effective in many ways, it also carries challenges, including side effects and high costs. Through our work to advance gene therapy and pursue new genetic technologies for those who are suffering, change drives our growth and keeps us at the forefront of the genetic industry. We constantly push ourselves to find the best solutions for all stakeholders, solutions that resonate with compassion and good governance while respecting modern medicine. Perhaps it is worth noting that the only constant at A.D.A.M. Innovations is our ability to change, and to promote change.

OUR
HR
INITIATIVES

Fostering International Mindset

At A.D.A.M. Innovations, we uphold a unique and innovative HR philosophy focused on recruiting and retaining talent from all backgrounds, often placing people in fields where they have little prior experience. We do this because we value the ambition of newcomers to pursue new career paths.

We also do not call our people "employees," as most companies do. Instead, we refer to them as "Innovators," "Creators," "Disruptors" or "Educators." We focus on hiring those who can demonstrate unique talent and potential, regardless of their current or former position or education.

Project groups are typically formed from members of different divisions and backgrounds, encouraging productive discussion and helping us deliver the best possible products, tests and services with our vision in mind. As a result, the company may at times appear to lack internal structure. But with diverse mindsets constantly at work, seeking Innovation, Creation, Disruption and Education, it can feel as though you are traveling into the future. We hope you will choose A.D.A.M. Innovations and become part of the future of genetic science.
